COURSE
OVERVIEW:
The ‘Business Alignment’ program is a
two day ‘business assessment and directional
setting intervention’ for business leaders.
Included in this program is an ‘Organizational
Alignment survey’ that evaluates the ‘7
challenges’ that face organizations today, all
of which need to be part of your strategic planning.
Business
Analysis
Before anything else in creating strategic direction,
there must be a complete analysis of your present
(and future) environment. In this area, we evaluate
the following critical areas for your business operation:
-
Who are your business stakeholder & their ‘needs
& wants’? - Market segmentation &
client profiling
- Evaluation
of your competitors ‘best practices’
- Assessment
of your internal business operations
- Consideration
of the present environment
- Development
of your core competencies (utilizing the ‘hedgehog
concept’ – from ‘Good to Great’)
Setting
Course Direction
Once the business analysis is complete, we can now
build your practice foundational directions (Mission
/ Values / Business Success Indicators). We will also
consider the criterion for a business vision and begin
the development of one for your business. After completing
the foundation areas and the vision, we will then
create the ‘unique value proposition’
for your business operation. Finally, we are in a
position of evaluating the priorities for the next
year, which brings together the ‘business plan’
for the upcoming year.
Aligning
your Business Processes, Roles, Structures and Systems
The third element in our program will be to examine
how ‘aligned’ the present business processes,
roles and structure are within your operation. We
will evaluate the ‘critical things that must
be automatic’, from a business discipline perspective.
Engaging
Your Team Members
What is ‘engagement’? How do you go about
‘engaging your team members’ and implementing
your business plan. These are the key elements that
we will be discovering and building upon in this section.
Building
an Implementation Plan
Finally, now that we have all the elements complete
in the ‘alignment process’, we need to
carefully consider the best way to put the plan in
operation. We will consider how to ‘lead change’
within your organization and to introduce and keep
the momentum moving forward in building a business
operation that has sustainable growth.
