Member Categories and Dues

GAMA International Canada offers both Individual and Corporate (“Partners in Professional Growth”) memberships, as follows:

Individual Memberships

Individuals who are in a leadership role within the financial services industry may join the association under the following two categories:

Full members: This category of membership applies to those in a senior leadership role and who are responsible for leading a team in a financial services distribution system.

Membership dues:
Full: $299/year (+ GST)

Examples of job titles held and include (but are not limited to) the following:

Partners in Professional Growth Corporate Membership

PLATINUM CORPORATE PARTNER LEVEL - $15,000

• $100 discount on academic course registrations through GAMA Canada’s Chartered Management Professional (CMP) designation program

• $100 discount on GAMA Canada 2004 Conference registrations; discounts on upcoming events

• Regular and impactful interaction with the GAMA Canada Learning Institute, which oversees CMP program content

• $50 discount on GAMA Canada 2004 Conference registrations; discounts on upcoming events

• Opportunities to actively participate in industry-specific research studies taking place through the GAMA Canada Learning Institute and Saint Mary’s University

• Opportunity to provide/sponsor GAMA Canada Conference workshop speaker

• Prominent exposure in all GAMA publication materials (web site, external communications, etc.) throughout the calendar year as well as at the annual conference

• 3 complimentary GAMA Canada memberships for head office staff representatives

• 10 PPG Associate memberships for PPG head office staff representatives

SILVER CORPORATE PARTNER LEVEL - $6,000

• Prominent exposure in all GAMA publication materials (web site, external communications, etc.) throughout the calendar year as well as at the annual conference

• Opportunities to access industry-specific research through the GAMA Canada Learning Institute and Saint Mary’s University

• 2 complimentary GAMA Canada memberships for head office staff representatives

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PPG MEMBERSHIPS:

• Discounts are available to employees of the PPG Corporate Partner only, who themselves must be individual members of GAMA International Canada to obtain the PPG discount.

• In cases where the PPG Corporate Partner engages in independent distributor relationships, the PPG Corporate Partner has the opportunity to offer the discount to MGA Principals (with the same membership requirement for those individuals receiving the discount).

• Corporate Partners are required to enroll in the PPG Program no later than February 28, 2005 in order to receive retroactive discounting.

  Illustration #1: Company A enrolls at PPG Platinum level on Feb. 16. Eligible employees of Company A are entitled to discounts for the remainder of 2005. In addition, any eligible employees who registered for CMP academic courses or the GAMA Canada conference prior to Feb. 16 are entitled to refunds equivalent to the discount (in this case, $100).

  Illustration #2: Company B enrolls in the PPG Program on March 15, 2005. No discounting is available retroactively; only employees who register for courses and/or the conference on March 15 or later are eligible for the PPG discount.

• Discounted academic courses must be completed within the specified time frame after purchase, as outlined in the CMP Program Guide.

• All speaking engagements are subject to approval by GAMA International Canada’s Conference Committee and Board of Directors.

• GAMA International Canada’s Board of Directors reserves the right to make changes to the PPG Program Terms & Conditions at any time.

• “Complimentary membership” = Full membership in GAMA International Canada, with all benefits available to individual members

• “PPG Associate membership” = Access to all individual membership benefits except GIJ (available for extra cost, upon request) and access to CMP program. Example: A PPG Associate member may attend conferences at the member rate but in order to participate in the CMP program must pay regular individual membership dues.
